“They gathered at an electrical store in Elizabeth and were in awe watching in the window the official opening of television channel 7. The Station was officially opened at 7 pm by the premier, Sir Henry Bolte. After the opening, we were thrilled with a live performance from the Tivoli Theatre and at 8 pm, wonder of wonders they saw the first episode of Robin Hood starring Richard Greene.”
